Join us for our #MaritimeDay Celebration Thursday, May 19, 2022, at The Sandollar Restaurant & Marina as we honor the men and women who keep Jacksonville's maritime industry running and also remember those we have lost. The JaxPilots - St. Johns Bar Pilot Association will do the honors of placing the wreath of remembrance at sea following our ceremony.

This is a time-honored tradition that dates back to 1933 when Congress declared National Maritime Day to commemorate the American steamship Savannah's voyage from the United States to England, marking the first successful crossing of the Atlantic Ocean with steam propulsion. Today, the maritime and transportation industries are among the economic drivers leading the growth in Northeast Florida.
