Member Spotlight: Get to know Patricia Malagrino

Where are you from/hometown? Born in Ft. Hood TX, grew up mostly in the North East

How long have you lived in Jacksonville? Since 2014

Tell us what degree you are pursuing and when you will graduate. Graduated in 2009 from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy with my Bachelors of Science and Marine Transportation Degree.

What do you plan to do after graduation? I hold my Unlimited Masters License. I am currently taking contract jobs as a Dynamic Positioning Officer/Chief Mate to keep up my seatime recency with a future goal to become a Jacksonville State Pilot.

What inspired you to pursue a career in transportation and logistics? My father went to West Point, so that regimented/military lifestyle was always instilled in me. With that and growing up on the water I found myself at Mass Maritime Academy.

How long have you been a member of the Propeller Club? Officially 1 year, however I have been attending events for some years.

What is your favorite Propeller Club event? The events, Pirate Party being one of my favorites.

Family/Significant Other/Pets? I have four children; my Boyfriend Brent, his 5 yr old princess, Adline and my Mr. Marlin (Golden Doodle) and our “old man pup” Mr. Harvey.

What is your proudest moment/achievement? To Date: Obtaining my Unlimited Masters License. That being said, I still have far more goals to achieve!

 What is something unique about you that you’d like to share…hobby/hidden talent/award? A few years ago I got my IFBB Pro Card
