Press release: Propeller Club to host LNG 904 seminar on Jan. 28

Jacksonville, FL – The Propeller Club of the United States – Port of Jacksonville will host a half-day seminar entitled LNG 904 on Thursday, Jan. 28 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the University of North Florida (UNF) University Center, Room 1058.

This event, which is also being organized by the Society of Naval Architects & Marine Engineers (SNAME), will feature dynamic speakers from the energy and maritime sectors in Northeast Florida, including a demo of liquified natural gas (LNG). Three panels will address LNG supply, LNG in the maritime industry, and the regulatory and economic outlook for LNG in Jacksonville. The event will conclude with a ceremonial signing of a LNG-related memorandum of understanding (MOU) between Jax Chamber and the U.S. Coast Guard.

“LNG has been embraced in recent years by the commercial shipping industry, not only as a cargo but as a fuel source for waterborne transportation,” said Virginia Bailey, President of the Propeller Club of Jacksonville. “This event will bring together LNG experts to discuss how this energy source can boost trade, create new jobs, and improve the Jacksonville community.”

Corporate supporters of LNG 904 include Aqua Gulf, Eagle LNG, Pivotal LNG, W&O Supply, and the North Florida Transportation Planning Organization.

Tickets are $20 per person and this event is open to the public. Registration is available now on the Propeller Club website:
