The Jacksonville Port Authority’s (JAXPORT’s) Chief Executive Officer Brian Taylor will present the annual “State of the Port” address on Thursday, Feb. 2 to members and guests of the Propeller Club of the United States – Port of Jacksonville. The event will be held at the University of North Florida’s (UNF’s) Adam W. Herbert University Center (12000 Alumni Dr., Jacksonville, Fla., 32211). Check-in opens at 11:00 a.m., and the event program begins at 11:30 a.m.
The event is open to the public, but advanced registration is required. The cost is $50 for an individual ticket, and $380 for a corporate table that seats eight. Lunch is included, and $5 from each ticket sold goes toward funding the Propeller Club’s Transportation/Logistics Scholarship at UNF.
The program will include announcements by club leadership, ceremonial traditions performed by the U.S. Coast Guard, and a presentation from Taylor covering various port topics, including maritime industry trends, JAXPORT business, harbor deepening, and more. Following the presentation, guests in the audience will have an opportunity to ask questions.
